520.3.#.a: Aim: This study was to assess the leadership styles of managers and their behaviors (outcomes) at their hospitals from the perspectives of their subordinate staffs. Methods: The study used a descriptive correlational design. The Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ-5X) and a demographic form were used to collect the data from a convenience sample of 400 hospitals’ staffs. Results: Managers styles in the investigated hospitals were transformational and transactional styles. The transformational leadership style had the highest mean (M = 3.68, SD = .57) followed by transactional leadership style (M = 3.50, SD = .47). Idealized influence (behavioral) was the most positive perceived leadership behavior (M = 3.79, SD = .69), followed by idealized influence (attributed) (M = 3.73, SD = .69). Intellectual stimulation (M = 3.58, SD = .64) was the least positive perceived transformational leadership style dimension. However, the staffs were more satisfied and there were having more effectiveness in their outcomes with leaders verified transformational leadership styles. Conclusions: The results of the study appraised the importance of transformational leadership and transactional leadership styles in hospitals, which indicates the need for further attention to training and development of effective leadership styles and their outcomes (behaviors). Similarly, it is implicated that hospitals’ managers in Gaza Strip should take advantage of the styles of leadership in enhancing the level of their staff efforts and hospitals’ introduced services.
